The atelier wants to be a meeting place between tradition and craftsmanship, with a passion for the material, its mutation and creation.
Cecilia Rinaldi, designer and textile artist, founded the atelier with her husband in 2022 with an unconventional vision of design. Based in Bologna, the atelier develops projects strongly permeated by the cultural traditions from which they originate, the sap of delicate and hidden details from which they are nourished and inspired.
In its interdisciplinary exploration, the design process interacts with different customs, in harmony between a contemporary vision and a still vibrant past, made of balance and history: a distinctive feature of Nuanda's vision.
Over the years, the atelier has pioneered an innovative leatherworking technique, resulting in handcrafted design pieces characterized by a unique knitted textile structure and a fresh aesthetic. This leather textile weaving, distinguished by its formal lightness, serves both as a structural and decorative element.
The creation process brings forth new forms within a lightweight yet robust weave, offering remarkable flexibility in terms of usage, aesthetics, and finishes. The result is a collection of artifacts that seamlessly merge functionality with design.
